My Current Collection
L-R – Paperchase – A5, Filofax Classic – Personal, Filofax Domino – Pocket
I have been using a planner for as long as I can remember, sometimes that planner has taken the form of a diary and a ton of sticky notes and note pages hap-hazardously crammed in to it, other times I have used a proper planner. The first planner I owned was a tan and green cloth covered, ring bound Collins planner that I used for most of my secondary school life. I don’t really count the Fun Fax I owned prior to that as I just used that to collect stickers in and all the books that went in it! I then moved to a purple with silver fleck fun fur pocket planner from Claires (around 1998) which I really loved, when I was in college. I then finished college and ditched the planner habbit for a bit as I didnt really have a use for one, deciding to keep all my info in a shop bought yearly diary. Once I started working and had a “proper” job I treated myself to a pink Filofax Classic in personal sized, which I love and still have to this day, although its not used as much. I have tried a Domino in purple, pocket sized but found it a little too small, before moving back to my Classic. I have tried a pocket black Saffino and same sized Metropol which I liked both of, but again found too small. I am now using an A5 Paperchase 6 ring planner as it gives me a bit more space for planning my life at the moment. I run 3 blogs, including this one, am in University in my 3rd year of a BA Course in Photo Art, sitting a City and Guilds Level 2 qualification in Nail Technology, and have 2 jobs that I need to keep tabs on, as well as “life events” (birthdays, car tax, insurance, anniversaries, you know, the everyday stuff!)
I have recently gotten interested in decorating my planner pages, which, as an “arty” type who enjoys crafts and scrap-booking, has bought me immense pleasure as it is quicker and easier than making scrap book pages (something I have not got the time for atm!), and am a member of several really fab Facebook groups dedicated to the decorated page! I am also a member of several RAK groups, (Random Acts of Kindness) where you can choose people to send things to, the groups I have joined are all planner/stationery related, and the support, advice and help they offer is really handy when you want to talk about aspects of life planning, and setting up a planner to suit your life and style.
I set this blog up as a means for me to document my planner and weeks, and to show how I use it, from the WO2P layouts (week on 2 page) that I am favoring at the moment to decorations for pages and where to buy the stationery to decorate away. Id like this blog to become a journey for me, and hope that I can pick up some like minded friends along the way! 😀
